WashU Sustainable Fashion Week brings together fashion enthusiasts and practitioners from across campus to share knowledge that encourages a responsible relationship between us and our clothing. From policy to runways, label start-ups to faculty innovators, the week promises to offer a variety of perspectives and insights in this area.

Detox Fashion Show | Sunday, March 30 3 PM | Kuehner Court, Weil Hall | The Design Detox Fashion Show’s theme is “RINGLEADER” and will showcase the final designs from the Make-A-Thon. Designs will utilize waste materials. |
Repair Fair | Tuesday, April 1 4-8 PM | Bixby Hall, Room 11 | Repair Fairs reduce waste by extending the life of items and teaching people how to repair things themselves. Bring your apparel or home décor items that need to be repaired or altered. |
Free Clothing Bazaar | Thursday, April 3 11 AM – 1 PM | DUC 248 | SWAP and the Circularity Center have teamed up to offer a pop-up clothing bazaar. WashU students and staff can give second-hand clothes another life and reduce waste. |
From Students to Start-Ups: WashU Participation in Sustainable Fashion | Thursday, April 3 4-6 PM | Seigle 206 | Panelists will share their experiences in building sustainable brands within an industry promoting fast fashion and waste. |
Faculty Perspectives on Sustainable Fashion | Friday, April 4 2-4 PM | Seigle 206 | This university-wide event will bring together perspectives from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, the College of Arts & Sciences, the McKelvey School of Engineering, and the Olin School of Business to deepen our understanding of sustainability in the fashion industry and try to predict its future. |
