She enjoyed engaging with Missourians about pro-environmental candidates and ballot measures leading up to the election, and is excited to be learning about and researching the issues and campaigns of the Missouri Sierra Club.

Mandy Huang, is a senior majoring in Environmental Biology and Environmental Analysis. She currently serves as VP of Advising for Student Sustainability Board and WUGA Compost Co-Leader for the South 40 compost program. During her free time, she likes watching thrift flips and room renos, admiring her various dorm plants, and swing dancing. At the Office of Sustainability, Mandy serves as one of the two Engagement Specialists.

He is currently doing research with Professor Brent Williams where he is using source apportionment to study air pollution. Remy’s goal is to take the results of his research and use them to create or improve policies both at Washington University and around the world. In his free time Remy plays water polo. He is also a fraternity brother at Sigma Phi Epsilon.

She will be working as one of the sustainable urban planning/ transportation student associate this year! In her spare time she volunteers at the St Louis Juvenile Detention Center, run and play on the ultimate frisbee team.

Samm Kaiser is a junior from Evanston, Illinois, double majoring in Math + Computer Science and Environmental Analysis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Samm took a semester off from school to live and work at Zumwalt Acres, a regenerative agriculture initiative in Sheldon, IL, where she planted spinach, milked goats, and was awarded the title of Best Soil Sampler. Samm is known as the resident environmentalist on the WashU volleyball team and is excited to further raise environmental awareness on campus. Outside of sustainability, she enjoys reading, going on long walks, and discussing classic rock music with fellow intern Julia Feller.

Nicole is a junior from Houston, Texas majoring in chemical engineering and minoring in energy engineering in order to enter the renewable energy field after she graduates. She spent her sophomore spring and following summer carrying out biofuel research and she traveled abroad to study renewable energy in Iceland. She is currently the co-president of the WashU chapter of Net Impact, a business and sustainability club. She worked in a Net Impact group on a proposal to add electric vehicles to the WashU campus fleet her sophomore year, and is excited to continue this work with the Office of Sustainability in her position on the vehicle electrification, carbon neutrality, and renewable energy team.

In Wisconsin, Adrian furthered his understanding of sustainable development through the school's Finance and Administrative internship program.
