Christina Lee
Environmental Studies Impact Intern
Christina is a senior born and raised in Chicago, IL. Her passion for political advocacy and social justice has led her to major in environmental policy and minor in sociology. She has been a leader of environmental activism on campus, namely organizing rallies for fossil fuel divestment, since her first year. This summer, she is an Impact Intern working within the community organization Metropolitan Congregations United. She will be spearheading outreach for their project to improve air quality monitoring in North STL, which is a pressing issue of environmental racism.
Tiffany Chen

Tiffany is a sophomore at WashU double majoring in Computer Science and Design. Tiffany likes to hike, run and bike in her free time.
Stella Gofffman
Sustainable Buildings Intern
Stella Goffman is a junior from Seattle studying Architecture and Environmental Studies. With dreams of being an eco-conscious architect, she is very excited to help further the sustainability and innovation of WashU's campus. She is president of the Women in Architecture and Design advocacy group at WashU and is interested in the intersections between environmental justice, public health, and design. She enjoys volunteering for affordable housing initiatives and at her local food pantry. In her free time, she loves running, pottery, and tending to her many plants.
Molly Blauner
Environmental Studies Impact Intern
Molly Blauner is a senior at WashU studying philosophy, neuroscience and psychology. She is a sexual assault response team advocate, and helps with conflict resolution for middle schoolers at Kairos academies. Molly is an intern at the Restorative Justice Movement. She loves community gardens and have worked in many in St. Louis and the surrounding area. Molly has two little brothers and is from New York City.
Logan Krohn
Environmental Studies Impact Intern
Logan Krohn is a senior BFA candidate in the Studio Art program with a concentration in printmaking. He minors in Creative Practices of Social Change and Business of Social Impact. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Logan has long enjoyed working in fields of sustainability, advocacy, and equity issues. Post-graduation, Logan will continue his career in both the field of fine arts and management consulting.
Matthew Boyd
MCC Associate
Matthew is a rising Junior majoring in Environmental Policy with a minor in Sociology. For this summer, he will be working with the Midwest Climate Collaborative as an intern. Matt is particularly interested in environmental justice and community engagement in sustainability, having previous experience at Great Rivers Environmental Law Center and being a Gephardt Institute Civic Scholar.
Sharaya Hill
Program Coordinator Internship - Ujima
Sharaya Hill is a 2nd year doctoral of occupational therapy student. She is from Houston,TX and a former early childhood special education teacher. Upon completing her studies at Howard University, she completed a gap year in Spain where she taught English to disadvantaged children. Upon returning to America she became committed to helping children with special needs in and out of the classroom, eventually earning her masters in special education. As an occupational therapist she hopes to continue to help others as they navigate life’s challenges. During her time at WashU she served as events co-chair for COTAD and is the ASD Vice Chairperson elect for AOTA. She is excited to make an impact in the urban St. Louis community and learn about urban farming.
Jasen Vest
Environmental Justice Intern - Metropolitan Congregations United
Jasen is a rising senior at Wash U originally from Broward County, Florida. He has always enjoyed nature which led him to developing a fear of the existential threat of climate change at a young age. This awareness consequently led him to discovering other environmental and social issues and specifically how a lot of issues tend to intertwine with one another. This gradual process is what led Jasen to study environmental policy in college so he could better understand the intersection of social issues and environmental issues. This summer he hopes his work with the MCU will help me learn how to politically organize on a local level to make changes that alleviate some of the issues which currently effect St. Louis, and many cities across the world.

Clara is a junior from Brooklyn, New York. She's majoring in Environmental Analysis with minors in French and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. This fall, she's working as a Grassroots Organizing Intern with the Sierra Club and is excited to get involved with environmental justice causes in the St. Louis community.
Julianne Aronson
Tyson Conservation Corps Student Coordinator
Julianne is freshman at WashU in the Beyond Boundaries program, studying how anthropogenic climate change affects biodiversity. She is an environmental engineering major, and also pursuing an art minor. Over the past few years, Julianne has been involved in conservation projects at an individual, community, and national level. Through her role as an Assistant Student Coordinator for the Tyson Conservation Corps, Julianne is excited to share her love of interdisciplinary environmental preservation.
Martha Benduski
Student Associate
Martha is a senior from St. Louis and is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Anthropology. She is excited to use her Psychology background to promote mindful consumption and sustainable practices on campus. Outside of the Office of Sustainability, she enjoys performing in various cultural shows such as PL4Y Showcase, the Lunar New Year Festival, and Spirit of Korea.
Stephanie Berger
Engagement Specialist Intern
Stephanie is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering with minors in environmental studies and women, gender, and sexuality studies. She cares about engaging with systemic problems and working for community-based social change, especially around environmental issues. She is particularly excited about food security and has experience in community rooted sustainable food production.
Julia Borchers
Green Office Intern
Julia is a junior from San Francisco majoring in Environmental Biology with a minor in the Business of Social Impact. Julia took a gap year before attending WashU, and spent the fall semester working on local and national campaigns, followed by 70 days of backpacking through the Pacific Northwest this past spring. Julia interned for the Go Green Initiative, which solidified her goal of pursuing sustainability in college. Julia is so excited to work with the Green Office team in broadening the program and learning more about WashU’s commitment to sustainability.
Sadie Brett-Chin
Sadie is a rising junior double majoring in Anthropology: Global Health and Environment, and Economics and Strategy. She is excited to be working with the WUCCP this summer and is passionate about environmental education and justice. On campus, Sadie is involved in Mentor STL as well as WHEN (WashU Health Equity and Education Network). In her free time, she enjoys taking long walks with her dogs, exploring St. Louis restaurants, and has recently been trying to teach herself guitar!
Lara Briggs
Climate Associate
Lara is a junior majoring in Environmental Analysis and Political Science. She studies clean energy, energy infrastructure, political influence, environmental communication, and evidence-based policymaking. On campus, she is an associate editor for Spires Intercollegiate Arts and Literary Magazine and advertising chair for String Theory, WashU’s knitting and crochet club. Lara works as a Climate Associate with the Washington University Climate Change Program.

Mary Kate is a master’s student studying public health at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. She has a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and is passionate about food systems, environmental sustainability, and human nutrition.
Brianna Chandler

Brianna is a sophomore pursuing double majors in American Culture Studies and Drama, and a minor in Spanish. Her life-long passion for social justice led her to to become more active in environmental advocacy during her high school career. Since college, she organizes with the St. Louis hub of the Sunrise movement. At the Office of Sustainability, Brianna serves as one of the two Engagement Specialists.
Kimberly Clark
Office of Sustainability Student Associate
Kimberly Clark is a senior from Minneapolis, MN majoring in architecture with a minor in Computer Science. She is excited to join the Office of Sustainability to help plan and implement how sustainability will be implemented into campus buildings and construction processes. In her free time, Kimberly likes to workout, cook, and read. At the Office of Sustainability, Kimberly serves as one of the two Sustainable Buildings Associates.
Maya Coyle
Maya is a senior studying Electrical and Systems Engineering with a minor in Energy Engineering. Outside of class, Maya works with young women in the St. Louis community to empower girls to pursue work in tech and sustainability. She is interested in the intersection of engineering and environmental justice and hopes to pursue this by going into the renewable energy or sustainable building design field. Outside of school, Maya enjoys soccer, running, hiking, and cooking!

Guinter Dame Vogg
Climate Associate
Guinter Dame Vogg is a junior from Encruzilhada do Sul, Brazil majoring in Chemical Engineering. He is passionate about climate change mitigation, which he explores through Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) and more efficient and sustainable ways of energy production. He is excited to be part of WUCCP in order to bring tangible climate action to our campus, as well as inform the student body about the topic. He serves the Social Programming Board as Outreach Director and the Engineering Council as Academic Affairs Director. In his free time he likes to explore the different neighborhoods of the city and to do road trips with his friends.
Kate Dickman
Environmental Studies Impact Intern
Kate is a junior majoring in Urban Studies and Environmental Analysis with a minor in Urban Design. Her main interests lie in the study of cities and how they can be designed to better support both people and the environment. She is excited to learn more about renewable energy, affordable housing, and sustainability. On campus, she is the editor-in-chief of the WashU Policy Institute, a staff writer for the WashU Political Review, and the Treasurer for Club Softball. She spent her summer interning for the St. Louis Planning and Urban Design Agency, and enjoyed getting to learn more about cities and planning in general. In her free time, she enjoys long walks in Forest Park, going to farmer's markets, and watching Criminal Minds.

Fiona Eckert
Fiona is a rising senior studying Environmental Policy and International Development. As a Merle Kling Fellow at Washington University, I am pursuing an independent research project which seeks to analyze environmental injustice by way of industrial air and water pollution in small-town southern Illinois. Following graduation, I hope to expand upon my environmental policy and research experience, working specifically on issues regarding climate, energy, and food access.

Kendall is a junior from Frisco, Texas studying environmental biology with a bioinformatics minor. She is passionate about expanding sustainability initiatives in St. Louis and in the WashU community. Outside of her studies, she is involved with Student Sustainability Board and the club gymnastics team. She is excited to work outside of her comfort zone with the Office of Sustainability.

Jarea is a senior originally from Houston, Texas, double-majoring in Studio Art and Comparative Literature with a minor in Writing. She values the power of visual and literary communication in promoting empathy and understanding among diverse groups of people. She is excited join WashU’s sustainability efforts by educating students on the importance of environmental advocacy through art and writing. Apart from environmental justice, Jarea also deeply cares about Asian-American representation, anti-racism, LGBTQ+ activism, and the importance of storytelling.

Julia Feller is a rising senior from New York City studying Political Science, Interdisciplinary Environmental Analysis, and American Culture Studies. She has spent the past year working for the Nature Conservancy in Missouri’s Cities Program as a GIS intern, where she built and promoted an interactive St. Louis EcoUrban Assessment tool to identify environmental risks in the region and lift up the work of anchor institutions working to address these concerns. She is excited to join the Office of Sustainability to bridge her work with environmental justice organizers in the St. Louis region and the influence of WashU’s sustainability programs.
Aquira Foster
Aquira is a master’s student studying clinical social work at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. She has a B.A. in Psychology and is passionate about health policy and helping create and maintain systems of equity. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, bicycling, and exploring museums around St. Louis.

Jessie is completing her second year of a Masters of Social Work at the Brown School. Her concentration is domestic economic and social development, with an area of focus on food access and hunger relief in relation to chronic poverty. In her free time Jessie likes bake, collect obscure cookbooks, and spend time outdoors.
Marla Guggenheimer

Marla is currently attending the Brown School at Washington University, pursuing a Masters in Social Work. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies from Miami University of Ohio, where she focused on elementary education, sustainable agriculture, and social justice studies. After graduating in 2017, Marla served as an Americorps VISTA in Montana and a FoodCorps Service Member in Arizona before moving to Chicago to work for a non-profit that builds and supports school gardens, where she was for the past two years.
Noah Hagen

Noah is a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Mathematics. From Gainesville, Florida, he enjoys running, biking, and playing basketball. He is excited to help the Office of Sustainability make it easy for the WashU community to travel around campus and the city of St. Louis by foot, bike, and public transportation.

Jacob us an explorer, a number-cruncher, and a dreamer. He believe there's no task that's as hard as people make it out to be, once you get started. He will never tire of work that he feel is making a difference, and the Office of Sustainability gives him plenty of opportunities to do exactly that kind of work.

Anna Haudrich is a senior from Toledo, Ohio, majoring in Environmental Biology with a minor in Writing. She is passionate about conservation research, science communication, and environmental justice. She strongly believes in the power of community organizing and is excited to join the Office of Sustainability to engage with issues of shared interest. On campus, she is president and co-editor-in-chief of TERRA Magazine, WashU's nature publication. Some of her favorite hobbies include longboarding, playing guitar, and macrophotography (especially of cute little insects).
Savannah Henderson

Savannah is a second year student studying sociology and women, gender, and sexuality studies. She is pre-law and hopes to study civil rights law. She is fueled by a desire to help people, especially from the most marginalized communities (historically and contemporarily). Savannah's passion for sustainability stems from her understanding that people and the planet are inextricably linked and that in order to provide and care for all people we also must care for our environment in the same respect.
