Food Roof Tour and MetroLink Ride!

Celebrate public transit and urban agriculture at its finest!  Register now to take a ride on the Metrolink to the Food Roof, a rooftop farm in downtown St. Louis. Participants will get a chance to tour the 10,000 square foot farm, sample some of local produce and see the way the Food Roof’s innovative approach to farming. This unique event will be a great opportunity to experience the local Metro system as a group and to explore your home city in an original way!

The tour will be led by lecturer of environmental studies Scott Krummenacher. Scott is deeply involved with Food Justice, Urban Agriculture, Urban Parks, and Urban Greening through research, teaching and community partnerships. He’s also passionate with public transit and alternative ways to move around in urban settings.

While the tour is free, we are expecting participants to bring a valid Metro ticket or U-Pass. All WashU full time employees and students are eligible to receive a free U-Pass with Parking & Transportation Services (register here). Please make sure to bring your U-Pass or a valid transportation ticket the day of the event.
