Mary Kate Cartmill

Food Associate

Mary Kate is a master’s student studying public health at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. She has a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and is passionate about food systems, environmental sustainability, and human nutrition. Before joining the Wash U community she worked in food security, advocacy, and community development in both domestic and internationally-focused settings. She looks forward to working with the Office of Sustainability to advance sustainable food practices on campus and build partnerships in the greater St. Louis food community. In her free time she likes to bike, test out plant-based recipes, and is part of the leadership team for Global Health and Brown.
