Greenware Program

The Greenware program is a reusable dishware rental program aimed to help WashU reduce its waste production. Our inventory includes plates, bowls, cups, and utensil sets (forks, spoons, and knives). Note: We distribute Greenware in standard sets of 40 with the option to request bowls and/or cups too.

Protocol & Policy Agreement *

I understand that the GreenWare inventory is limited and we cannot guarantee that we will have enough inventory for every order. I understand that orders will be prioritized based on the time that the request was submitted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Within three days of placing your request, you will receive a confirmation email reviewing your order and confirming that we can fulfill the request.

I understand that all GreenWare kits come with a compost bin (if your event has an attendance of less than 50 people) to ensure compostable waste is disposed of properly. I will ensure all food and compostable waste at my event is scraped into this bucket. (The waste will be composted properly at specified drop off locations.)

I understand that my kit will be due back the day following my event (or Monday for Fri - Sun events) unless other arrangements have been approved in advance. This agreement must be made prior to picking up of GreenWare. A $5 late fee will be applied on the first late day, and $3 for every subsequent business day.

I understand that if my kit is returned with pieces missing and/or damaged equipment, fees will be charge to the provided department or organization account. I understand that if I incur any fees, the account information I provide above will be charged and fees are due within one week of the event date.

I understand that if I am requesting GreenWare as an individual (unaffiliated with a student group or department), I will make a deposit of $50 upon picking up my GreenWare order. The deposit will be returned upon drop off of the GreenWare minus any fees incurred.
