Operations and Facilities Management Department and the WUSM Student Sustainability group are partnering up for a scrubs and lab coat recycling drive*! This drive will be held in conjunction with the E-Waste Recycling and Confidential Paper Shredding drive on Tuesday, October 31st from 8:00am – 10:30am in the food truck drive on the School of Medicine campus. Before dropping clothing off, please ensure items are clean and the WashU logo has been removed.
Scrubs and lab coats will be recycled through MedNik Riverbend. MedNik Riverbend accepts donated textiles and recycles them into industrial strength cleaning products. Since 1930, the company has become the Midwest’s foremost recycler of industrial textiles, so rest assured your scrubs are in good hands! Scrubs and lab coats without logos will be re-distributed to WashU students on the medical campus for anatomy lab.
*We are accepting any form of outdated WashU branded clothing, including lab coats and old t-shirts that cannot be donated. Please ensure clothing items are clean and the WashU logo has been removed.
