Many are aware of the harm that single use plastics have on our natural environment and our bodies. However, there is still widespread use of single-use plastics in both research labs and healthcare. Globally, research labs produce 5.5 million tons of plastic waste each year, with healthcare contributing an additional 1.7 million tons in the United States alone. As part of Plastic Free July, join us July 20th from 12pm – 1pm to learn more about how single-use plastics are used in research and healthcare and how you can begin to reduce plastic use in your lab or practice.
