Krishnendu Ray: the Future of Food Studies

The Graduate Association for Food Studies (GAFS) is pleased to welcome Dr. Krishnendu Ray to give the keynote address at the Future of Food Studies graduate student conference. Professor Ray is the chair of the department of Food Studies at New York University and the president of the Association for the Study of Food and Society (ASFS). He will be presenting on the future of the emerging discipline of food studies from his unique vantage point and introduce us to his fascinating research on diaspora, immigration, ethnic cuisine, culinary entrepreneurs, and migrant street vendors in New York and beyond.
