Share Our Stuff (SOS) is WashU’s annual move-out collection drive. This university-wide effort is designed to make it easy for all students to donate their unwanted items at move out in a manner that benefits our community and keeps usable goods out of the landfill.
During campus move-out, SOS will be holding sorting days to organize the donations we receive. Students will have the opportunity to volunteer during these days to help support sorting efforts. In return for volunteering time, students can take home choice items they discover (up to 10 lbs per hr donated). We typically receive (LOTS of) clothes, dishware, and other small apartment & kitchen items. Volunteers will get first pick of these items. This is a great opportunity to start furnishing your apartment if you are living off campus or refresh your wardrobe!
Event Times:
- May 2: 1p – 5p
- May 6: 7p – 10p
- May 7: 9a – 5p and 5:30p – 9p
- May 8: 9a – 5p
Event Location: Mudd Multipurpose Room
Sorting and perusing mountains of materials can be a relaxing and mindless task, perfect for a study break during finals. No experience or RSVP required!
If you are interested in picking up items, but not interested in volunteering, we will have pay-by-the-pound options available as well ($2/lb). We will accept cash & credit card for these purchases.
Students are also encouraged to bring their own items to drop off at these events.
