Save the Date: WUSM Earth Day 2016

Earth Day festivities will take place on the WUSM campus Thursday, April 14, from 11a-1p, in conjunction with the weekly Farmer’s Market in Hope Plaza.

Vendors from throughout the region will be on hand to provide information about recycling, dining services, transportation, clean air, gardening, water conversation, and more. They include: Resource Management, Metropolitan Sewer District, American Lung Association, RideFinders, Great River Greenways, Bon Appetit, Labcon, the EarthWays Center, and Total Organics Recycling.

There will be demonstrations, giveaways, and activities. The Sustainability Action Team will be providing smoothies made by pedal power. Stop by and take a ride on the blender bike to mix up a refreshing treat!

In addition, volunteers will be on hand during the event in the Shell Café and Kaldi’s to help patrons sort their lunch waste into recycle and landfill containers.

Volunteers are needed to ensure the Earth Day celebration runs smoothly. For additional details, please contact Emma Lawrence at lawrencee@wustl.edu or (314) 362-7748.

Please note: In case of rain, the Earth Day celebration will be moved inside to the CSRB link.
