Jasen Vest

Environmental Justice Intern - Metropolitan Congregations United

Jasen is a rising senior at Wash U originally from Broward County, Florida. He has always enjoyed nature which led him to developing a fear of the existential threat of climate change at a young age. This awareness consequently led him to discovering other environmental and social issues and specifically how a lot of issues tend to intertwine with one another. This gradual process is what led Jasen to study environmental policy in college so he could better understand the intersection of social issues and environmental issues. This summer he hopes his work with the MCU will help me learn how to politically organize on a local level to make changes that alleviate some of the issues which currently effect St. Louis, and many cities across the world.
