Dining Services

Student Environmental Council and the Student Union selected Dining Services as the first recipient for the new Student Choice Award for Sustainability Leadership. They recognized Dining Services for their efforts to collaborate with student leaders and expand waste reduction and diversion practices across WashU dining facilities, including: increasing the availability of reusable dishes and utensils, shifting to straws-upon-request policies, expanding compost collection to the DUC and Parkside, and increasing the sourcing of compostable serviceware.

Through their meetings with Student Union Senators as well as Environmental Student Groups, Dining Services has shown a commitment to working with students to improve dining at Wash U.
