Aamna Anwer is a St. Louis transplant, hailing from Galesburg, Illinois. Aamna completed her undergraduate degree in Spanish at Northwestern University. Upon graduation, Aamna worked for the largest Muslim relief organization in the United States. In 2011, life took Aamna to Omaha, Nebraska, where she studied a multitude of subjects, including nutrition, French, and microbiology. She received a Master’s in Business Administration from Creighton University and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society.

Aamna moved to the St. Louis area in 2015 and has since been an active member in the county’s Muslim community where she co-founded the Sustainability Initiative of the Islamic Foundation of Greater St. Louis. Some projects she was able to accomplish include Ramadan break-fast composting, a plastic water bottle ban, and the installation of two bottle filling stations. Aamna is also involved in multiple inter- and multi-faith projects and looks forward to being involved on campus.
