October Is Car-Free Month

A wide variety of activities mark Car-Free Month at Washington University in St. Louis.

Oct. 14 was the last day to register for the Car-Free Challenge, a competition that rewards the team with the greatest number of car-free miles and the most car-free trips. Other upcoming car-free events include free bike tune-ups; free breakfast at Kaldi’s on DeMun Boulevard; the Metro Prom, which takes place on MetroLink Saturday, Oct. 19; and a Trailnet ride through Cavalry Cemetery Oct. 26. Car-Free Month is sponsored by Washington University in St. Louis’s Office of Sustainability and Parking and Transportation Services.
