Alberti Program

Alberti ProgramThe Alberti Program-Architecture for Young People, in partnership with PGAV Destinations, reaches out to fourth through ninth grade students around the city to nurture the growth and development of St. Louis youth. Environmental concerns and sustainable design are central pillars of the curriculum, which is led by Gay Lorberbaum, senior lecturer in architecture in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.

The Alberti program creates a community out of interdisciplinary lecturers, WashU graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants, and students from all across St. Louis. Named for the renaissance architect Leon Battista Alberti, the program is free to participants and supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
