Justice Organizations: Network Survey

Scott Krummenacher, Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis is inviting you to participate in this research study.  The purpose of this study is to learn more about the groups working on environmental justice issues in the St. Louis region.  Your participation in this study will involve completing a survey that should last about 15 to 25 minutes.  Survey responses will be added to a database of organizations working on environmental justice issues.  Participation in this study will not benefit you directly.  The results of this study may be published in books, scientific research journals or presented at professional conferences and/or gatherings.  However, your name and identity will not be revealed and all the information that we obtain from you during the research will be kept confidential.  There is a potential loss of confidentiality; however, this risk is minimized because online survey data will be stored on a password protected, secure server.    We will not use your name or other identifying information in any reports of the research.   Participation in the study may benefit you indirectly by helping you understand the organizations working on environmental justice issues in the region and by allowing you to reflect on the way connections between them.  Additionally, your participation may benefit others by resulting in research that uncovers ways to improve the connections among organizations working on environmental justice issues.  You can choose not to participate.  If you decide not to participate, there will not be a penalty to you or loss of any benefits to which you are otherwise entitled.  You may withdraw from this survey at any time.  If you have questions about this research study, please call Scott Krummenacher at 314-935-7491.
