Bike Ride in Forest Park – May 20, 1p

Meet on the bike racks south Hillman Hall, along Forsyth

Join us for a guided bike ride and tour around Forest Park! We will be exploring the lesser known treasures of the park such as the Jewel Box and the Kennedy Forest, while getting in some fresh air and exercise! This ride is suitable for all skill levels, and the group will travel together at a moderate pace. Helmets and a full water bottle strongly encouraged. Email clarasteyer@wustl.edu to sign up or if you have questions.

Sustainability Tour – May 20, 1p

Meet outside the Athletic Complex

The tour will begin at the LEED Platinum Athletic Center and weave through campus to Hillman Hall. Highlights will include recent solar installations, rain gardens, green roofs, pervious pavers, and more. Sustainability features of the East End project will be detailed with a birds-eye view of the construction site. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes.

Arboretum Tour

Allocate 30 minutes – 1 hour, and take the tour from your phone at here

Did you know that the Danforth campus is recognized by Tree Campus USA, and recently achieved Level 1 Arboretum status? Take a self-guided tour of the campus trees using the new interactive website and corresponding tree tags, which will help identify the species and their unique contributions to the WashU community.

Zero Waste Station Volunteering

In addition to attending one of the sustainability activities, you can volunteer at one of the zero waste stations to reinforce the recycling culture on campus! Volunteers at green waste station guide attendees through the waste sorting process at lunch and during the afternoon raffle/Ted Drewes. Contact Cassie Hage at cassandra.hage@wustl.edu to sign up!
